The center was established by the School of chemical engineering of Xi 'an jiaotong university (XJTU) in cooperation with Shaanxiinstitute of Coal Chemical Technology (SICCT),aiming to improve the technical level of Shaanxi coal chemical industry, enhance the ability of independent research and development, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with other scientific research institutes and universities, and create an integrated system of independent technology innovation. The main responsibilities of the center are the product research and development, technology introduction and absorption, management and process improvement, talent training and building information bridges. Centering on the status quo and development planning of Shaanxi coal chemical industry, the center focuses on the research of basic theory and the breakthrough of key technical issues on the development of coal resources, the green catalytic transformation of coal, and the preparation of high-value coal base products, and provides a base and platform for the transformation of coal chemical technology achievements. Relying onXJTU-SICCTresearch and development center of coal chemical technology and equipment,we will carry out world-class scientific research and produce major original scientific and technological achievements. It will not only provide scientific basis and solutions for the sustainable development of national and Shaanxi energy and chemical industry, but also provide stronger support for the first-level discipline of chemical Engineering and Technology in Xi’an Jiaotong University. At the same time, in the next 3-5 years, we will strive to make this center become the technology research and development center and professional talent training base of the coal chemical industry in Shaanxi province and even the whole country, providing strong technical, talent and base support for the development of energy chemical industry in our province, especially coal chemical industry.
